Signs Now was started in 1997 and over the years we have recruited staff who have stayed with us. As of today over 50% of our staff have been with us for over 10 years - quite a few of them have passed their 20th anniversary! Knowledge and experience are crucial factors in most industries but that is especially so in the sign industry. Every sign is unique and each signage project is different - so having a team of people who have worked together over many years on many projects is an enormous asset for us.
Signs Now is also a very active member of the International Sign Association of the UK and we are involved in the Technical Committee which drives up standards in our industry.
How We Work
Having worked on many projects over the years we have developed a simple and proven methodology. In essence, we appoint a clear dedicated Project Manager who will take full responsibility for all aspects of the project. Equally, we look to you, as the client, to also appoint a clear and dedicated Client Manager for the project. A Project Plan is prepared by the Project and Client Manager and reviewed as often as necessary, usually on a weekly basis, by all parties involved. You will find example of our project plans below.

Signs Now UK started in 1997 with the aim of building a national network of franchised branches across the country. At one stage we operated 14 such branches. However, the cost of operating this branch structure proved too heavy and so, over a gradual period of time, we began to close the branches and we centralised many of our functions into our Head Office here in Staffordshire. Today we operate a national network of Sign Surveyors and a national network of Sign Installers. This allows us to at least match the service levels and response times of any local sign maker. Where a client is operating a national network of branches or depots we can survey all of the sites in quick time and we can fit their signs.
Signs Now UK was started back in 1997. From the outset the vision was to build a national company founded on slick customer service and high quality sign manufacture. Like many a business, we are a People Business - without our people we would have no business. This is especially true in the sign industry where there is so much to learn - given the bespoke nature of the industry. Our philosophy has to been to recruit good people and to retain them through a broad-based remuneration package and a friendly company culture. Over 50% of our staff have been with us for longer than 10 years - and all that knowledge and experience is invaluable to us.
If you had 25 locations across the UK and you organised for 25 sign makers to manufacture your signs - according to your strict brand guidelines - you might be surprised to see the wide range of differing signs that would result. That is because each sign maker operates with different printers, different inks, different materials, and different printer settings. When you work with Signs Now, we will produce a sample of each sign to ensure that you are completely satisfied that each signs complies with your guidelines. At this stage we can then manufacture all of your signs in compliance - irrespective of where they will be located.
In 2017 Signs Now was appointed as the approved vendor for The Hilton Group for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia - to design, print and install Heart of the House graphics in the staff areas of each hotel. In the years since then we have supplied over 300 hotels across 62 countries. In doing so, we have been able to develop a network of international partners which allows us to offer design, manufacturing and installation services across the globe. In North America we have a formal strategic partnership in place with Alliance Franchise brands - so we can help you with your branding across North and South America.
Our international work has grown and our clients now include Vantage Data Centres and PPG Aerospace.
