The client
The multinational Crowne Plaza chain, which has more than 400 hotels worldwide, is part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts family of brands. IHG also owns Holiday Inn, which Signs Now has previously completed several projects for.
The project
The Crowne Plaza hotel at Gatwick Airport has been established for many years and was starting to look a little jaded.
In an effort to spruce up the hotel, money was invested into a number of refurbishment projects, including signage.
Signs Now was commissioned to replace and update the signage with the company’s latest branding.
Solution and installation
Our design team collaborated with the Crowne Plaza team to create a comprehensive signage plan, beginning with in-depth consultations to understand their requirements.
Signs Now visited the Gatwick hotel to conduct a site survey and ensure the correct measurements were taken before the manufacture of any signage.
Our designers crafted preliminary concepts, ensuring that all designs met the hotel chain’s specific brand guidelines and functional needs. We produced multiple samples for the Crowne Plaza’s approval, ensuring the final products met their expectations.
We then used an experienced installation crew to install the signage outside the entrance and mount it to the exterior wall of the hotel. Special attention was paid to the mounting and placement of the signs to ensure they were securely fixed and capable of withstanding daily wear and tear. Where we could, to save money, we were able to use existing posts and frames.
