We seem to be making a habit of surprising unsuspecting members of the team with anniversary posts, and after recently putting Carlo in the spotlight, it was only fair that we turn our attention to Glen before he sees this coming too!
This Spring, Glen Fitzpatrick, one of our longest-serving sales managers, is also celebrating a very special milestone as he approaches his 20 year anniversary with Signs Now.
Glen originally joined the business as a sign fitter, having already learned the fundamentals of installation and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the trade. That background gave him a strong foundation, but it quickly became clear to our Managing Director, Bill Dunphy, that there was much more to Glen than a typical fitter!
“From early on, it was evident that his personality, confidence and natural communication skills were ideally suited to working with customers,” says Bill. “He began accompanying the sales team on visits and quickly found his stride in a client facing role. It was a move that suited him perfectly and one where he immediately excelled, as I knew he would!”
From there, Glen’s career developed rapidly. He transitioned fully into sales and went on to become one of our strongest performers, building lasting relationships with customers and consistently delivering some fantastic projects.
He later took on further responsibility as manager of our Cradley Heath branch, continuing to develop both his leadership and commercial skills.
In the years that followed, Glen reminisced that he still remembered that first interview with Signs Now and how inspired he felt when he left the room.
“He left that conversation feeling he wanted to be part of the business and I knew from very early on that he was looking for more from his career than a traditional sign fitting role could offer,” says Bill.
“That ambition, combined with the right opportunity, has shaped a highly successful two-decade career and we’re so proud to have him on our team.”
