Signs Now has fitted more signs for restaurants than you have had hot dinners!
Seriously - the image of your restaurant will be critical to your success. Do you want an image the exudes quality and hospitality and warm ambience? |

If you are not careful your restaurant can look cheap, cold and unfriendly.
Image is vital!
You need to consider how your restaurant will look to people passing by. Broadly speaking you have these options: |
An illuminated sign
Illuminated signs can provide a very powerful image for your restaurant business, You do need to think about local planning permission. If there has previously been an illuminated sign on the premises, and your neighbors have illuminated signs, you should be fine for planning issues. If in doubt we recommend you check with your local planning officer.
The cost of such a sign will vary according to the size of the box and the complexity of the design. You should budget between £1,000 and £2,000 |

3d letters
You can choose to present the name of your business in 3d letters which we can make from a variety of materials. In the case of Ming's restaurant we installed some "line lights" above the sign to illuminate the letters. We also added a "projecting sign".
The budget for something like this is between £2,000 and £4,000: the owner of Ming's restaurant was delighted and the restaurant got off to a flying start. |
2 dimensional
A more economic approach is for us to fit a flat focal sign within an aluminum frame. With good design this can convey a quality image for between £500 and £1,000.
As a restaurant owner you might need to consider other options that Signs Now can offer to you:
Menu systems - we can create menu systems like the one in Ali's restaurant. |
| Soho - an example of a pavement sign. .(more...) |
Window graphics - with etched vinyl you can project a stylish image like the Bash window in our window graphics section, or the Open All Day window. Window graphics can give customers a reason to enter, such as an offer, or they can convey what they can expect inside the restaurant.
Pavement signs - in the Bristol restaurantSoho we used window graphics to show what is on offer, and a pavement sign to promote their latest deal.
And finally - you may want to think about a banner for your opening day (with a cost of £100 to £200), graphics for any vehicles you may use for delivery, and fire and safety signs. |
