Case Studies: Ruskims Exhibition Stand

Ruskims Seafoods is a highly successful distributor of quality fresh food products to the restaurant trade in the UK and Europe. The company is based in Telford and procures the best quality produce from around the world. To develop their international profile Ruskims have regularly exhibited in the UK and Overseas. Their General Manager, John Woods, confesses that this has not always been a proud experience, "I have to admit that on occasions we looked in envy at the display stands of our fellow exhibitors."

Ruskims met Signs Now through an accident — literally!

A Ruskims lorry collided with a sign that had been made by Signs Now. Ruskims agreed to replace the sign and were introduced to Signs Now as a result. The idea was put forward of developing a new display stand for Ruskims which could be used at home and abroad for some years to come.

John Wood was clear on their requirements, "It had to be robust, easy and quick to assemble and, most important of all, it had to look good"

Bob Forsyth, the Signs Now director in charge of the project was very careful to listen to the client’s requirements, he studied their marketing material, and he learned about their business, "This is an exciting and dynamic business which cares about its corporate image. We wanted to produce a display that would make them go "Wow !"

After weeks of design and manufacture the stand was tried out for the first time at the Ruskims Headquarters in Telford. Bob was delighted with the result, "I have never seen such happy customers. They jumped with delight when they saw the display fully assembled."

The display was first exhibited in Brussels soon afterwards. John Wood was delighted with its impact, "We were able to get the stand assembled easily and quickly. Visitors to the exhibition were clearly impressed by what they saw and it was the turn of our fellow exhibitors to look on in envy. All in all it made our staff and myself proud to be associated with such a striking and stylish image."
